Most troubleshooting on the ethoscope is done by connecting the PI to a monitor and keyboard. For this reason, I recommend getting a few tools that will make troubleshooting less painful.
- An HDMI/USB capture adapter (Amazon). This is generally quite useful when working with raspberry pis. It allows you to connect the HDMI output to the PI to your main computer and show it inside a window as if it were a regular webcam. One can thus show the PI output without using a dedicated monitor.
- A 4 meters long HDMI cable (Farnell). Ethoscopes may be distant from your node and a long cable can be conveniently used together with the HDMI/USB capture adapter.
- A wireless keyboard.
